LANSING – State Representative Joan Bauer (D-Lansing) on Thursday honored the top 10 graduates from each of Lansing's five high schools in a congratulatory reception at the State Capitol.
"The outstanding accomplishment of being one of the top 10 graduates will guide these students throughout their entire life," Bauer said. "The students of today are the workers of tomorrow, and as we work to move Michigan forward, we'll need bright and driven young people like these graduates. I was pleased to host a congratulatory reception for the graduates and their families in honor of the educational foundation they've received."
Bauer hosted the top 10 graduates and their families from Lansing Everett, Sexton, Eastern, Lansing Christian, and Lansing Catholic Central high schools at a reception held in the Speaker's Library on the 2nd floor of the State Capitol.
"These students represent the best and brightest young men and women in our community," Bauer said. "I look forward to seeing these students continue their education and one day be the leaders of our community, state and nation."
